Biography
I started playing violin at the tender age of six with a local teacher before moving to Young European Strings school of music in Dublin aged 14 and began studying under Dr. Ronald Masin. During my time at Young European Strings I completed my ABRSM practical and theory exams to distinction level and also achieved my Diploma. In 2014 I began my 3rd level studies at Queen's University, Belfast studying performance with Joanne Quigley. My time at Queen's allowed me to start teaching private and discover my love for teaching.
While at QUB I was given opportunities to work with world class visiting musicians and members of the Ulster Orchestra. I was also given the opportunity to travel to Romania to take part in a week long workshop with Remus Azoitei and was fortunate to take part in a workshop with Ray Chen at the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
Most recently I have been focusing on teaching and in June 2019 I completed my Level 2 Suzuki at the British Suzuki Institute. I currently teach group violin classes to adults, private in schools of music, at home and in primary schools. In September I also began working with Music Generation in Cavan and Monaghan teaching a vocal/musicianship programme to primary school students of all ages.
